Taxonomy in action

iManage x noslegal

iManage have been very supportive of what we're doing in noslegal over the last few years, in the best possible way - fully respecting its independent and open source nature while providing valuable input on various topics and their London office as a venue for an event late last year.

As of August 2025 they have made key aspects of our March 2025 noslegal taxonomy release available in csv formats compatible with iManage's software.

Robert Florendine's video shows very neatly how easy it now is for iManage's customers to take the csv version from the noslegal github then drag and drop it in ready-to-go form.

Legal places

As an illustration of what can be built on a solid taxonomical foundation, Rosie Ashbourne has used Power BI to show how a taxonomy of places can be used to enable remixing and exploration of two open datasets. Just imagine what you'll be able to do with your own data.

Rosie combines the noslegal places taxonomy with World Justice Project and World Bank (Population and income) data to create an interactive dashboard.
