In-house needs

Our existing standards were built primarily with law firm input. In-house legal and related (e.g. compliance, regulatory) professionals have some additional, equally important perspectives.

This group will help to ensure that these perspectives are effectively brought to bear in developing various aspects of the noslegal taxonomy in our 2025 - 26 round of work.

Consultation open — noslegal v4 draft

Five major updates and an expanded guide.

Consultation closes Thursday 30 April 2026.

Our interest in this topic

I worked as a lawyer in private practice and in-house in Canada, and was most recently head of legal operations for a major bank.

Better taxonomy can help with collaboration within companies (e.g. between legal, compliance and business) and externally (e.g. with law firms)”

“I lead on regulatory affairs for the EMEA region at a major global insurance company.

I think the noslegal taxonomy shows great promise and am keen to see how we can further develop it collaboratively to make it as useful as possible while keeping it simple”
